Crispy Cheese pie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg of sifted wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable fat
  • 2 tablespoons of cachaça
  • 1 teaspoon salt dissolved in 1 cup cold water (brine)
  • Wheat flour for sprinkling
  • Cheese of your choice cut into cubes
  • Frying oil

 Method of preparation,

  1. Place the flour in a bowl, form a mound and make a hole in the top of the mound.
  2. Put the other ingredients there (except the brine) and knead.
  3. Add the brine little by little.
  4. Knead with your hands until you get a uniform dough.
  5. Knead well, tearing the dough with your hands.
  6. Put the pieces together, knead and beat on the table until you get a soft Dough that comes off your hands.
  7. Make a ball of dough and let it rest for at least 1 hour.
  8. Cover the dough with a cloth.
  9. Open the dough with a rolling pin (or pasta machine) on a floured surface, leaving it very thin.
  10. Place the cubes of cheese on the dough, fold and press the edges well.
  11. Cut the pastries and fry them in hot oil.

    Place the pastries on absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
