Crispy Cheese pie
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg of sifted wheat flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable fat
- 2 tablespoons of cachaça
- 1 teaspoon salt dissolved in 1 cup cold water (brine)
- Wheat flour for sprinkling
- Cheese of your choice cut into cubes
- Frying oil
- Place the flour in a bowl, form a mound and make a hole in the top of the mound.
- Put the other ingredients there (except the brine) and knead.
- Add the brine little by little.
- Knead with your hands until you get a uniform dough.
- Knead well, tearing the dough with your hands.
- Put the pieces together, knead and beat on the table until you get a soft Dough that comes off your hands.
- Make a ball of dough and let it rest for at least 1 hour.
- Cover the dough with a cloth.
- Open the dough with a rolling pin (or pasta machine) on a floured surface, leaving it very thin.
- Place the cubes of cheese on the dough, fold and press the edges well.
- Cut the pastries and fry them in hot oil.
Place the pastries on absorbent
paper to remove excess fat.
