How to make Strasbourg Casserole

 Strasbourg casserole. 

Pasta casserole with a twist.

You need,

200 g Ribbon noodles (or another type of your choice)

1 large Onion(s), diced

2 tsp oil

250 g Minced meat, mixed

⅛ liters red wine

5 tsp tomato paste

½ tsp thyme

½ tsp Cayenne pepper

1½ tsp Salt

Fat for the shape

100 g Cheese of your choice, grated

1 mug cream (200 g)

Preparation,

Working time about 30 minutes

Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes

Total time about 1 hour 10 minutes

Cook the noodles in salted water until al dente. Then pour off.

At the same time, saute the diced onion in oil, then add the minced Meat Item and saute as well. Deglaze with the red wine and season with tomato paste, thyme, cayenne pepper and salt. Then fold in the noodles. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Spread cheese and cream on top.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for approx. 25 - 30 minutes.

Serve hot.
