 Caramel Pound Cake

Ingredients

• 3Eggs

• 180g Sugar 

• 180g Butter 

• 180g Flour 

• 1Jar of salted Butter caramel sauce

• 1 tbsp. tablespoon chopped hazelnuts

• 1 pinch Salt

Preparation steps

1. Separate the whites from the yolks of your eggs.

2. In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar with an electric mixer for 5 minutes until the mixture whitens and becomes creamy.

3. Melt the butter in pieces in the microwave.

4. Add the butter to your egg yolk/sugar mixture and mix.

5. In a bowl, mix the sifted flour with the baking powder.

6. Gradually add the powder while mixing until a smooth paste is obtained.

7. In a bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks with an electric mixer.

8. Incorporate the egg whites into your dough, lifting the mass using a spatula.

9. Butter and flour 3 small molds.

10. Spread your dough there.

11. Add 2 tablespoons of salted butter caramel sauce per mold and mix very coarsely.

12. Bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes. Check for doneness with the tip of a knife.

13. Leave to cool slightly before unmolding your cakes.

14. Decorate the surface of your Cakes with chopped hazelnuts and serve with salted butter caramel        sauce.

16. You can replace a small part of the sugar with vanilla sugar.
