PITA BREAD
RECIPE AND METHOD OF PREPARATION PITA BREAD.
Ingredients
for the leaven
Wheat flour type 750 3 tbsp
1/4 cup lukewarm water
Sugar 1 tbsp
Fresh yeast 20 g
Ingredients for pita
Wheat flour type 750 2.5 glass
Warm water...
Salt 1 tsp
Steps to follow:
Step 1 - Pita

In a
saucepan, crumble the yeast, sprinkle with sugar and pour warm water or milk
(cannot be hot!). Stir until yeast dissolves, add flour and mix to get rid of
lumps. Cover with a clean cloth and leave in a warm place for about 10-15
minutes. to grow up
Sift the
flour into a bowl and add the yeast and water.
Knead the dough until it is smooth and
elastic. Form the dough into a ball, cover with a clean cloth and leave in a
warm place for about 45 minutes. to double the volume.
STEP 3:
Remove the excess air from the risen dough
by hitting it with your fist. Divide into 10 smaller pieces and roll out each
into a round cake.
STEP 4:
Put the pita
pancakes on a floured board, cover with a cloth and leave until doubled in size
(about 15-20 minutes).
STEP 5:
Heat the oven to 220'C. Put the pancakes on a pre-heated baking sheet and bake for about 8-10 minutes without convection, until the pita is golden brown.
..............Now you can serve this item with jelly, milk cream , peanut butter or tomato sauce etc.
